Terms of Use

MealBond. Effective 24 October 2026.

What it is

A food and activity diary for iPhone. You record food in words, photos or by barcode; the app counts calories, protein, fat, carbohydrates and your daily target. On Pro and Max an AI coach recognises food from photos and words, answers questions and sums up your day. You can also lose weight together: open your day to people you trust, keep a feed, compete in the league and talk in your group.

Not medical care

The coach is an AI. Food estimates are approximate and advice is general. The service does not diagnose, treat or replace a doctor or dietitian. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, have an eating disorder or take medication, discuss your diet with a doctor. In the careful mode (under 18, a very low weight, pregnancy or breastfeeding, an eating disorder) the coach helps you keep your weight rather than lose it, and there is no feed.

Your account

You must be at least 13 and, where your country sets a higher age to consent to the processing of data, have a parent's or guardian's consent until that age. You sign in with Apple or Google, one account per person; a nickname is required, people find you by it. You are responsible for what you send: no photos of other people without their consent, no abuse, nothing illegal. We may limit or close an account that breaks these terms. You can delete your account at any time in your profile. An account not signed into for 30 days is paused; a free one not signed into for 90 days is deleted. Notifications in the app warn you beforehand: 3 days before the pause, 7 days and 1 day before the deletion.

Plans and payment

Groups, private messages and your day

A group is a chat of your own people: people join only by an invitation or its link, and only if they agree; an invitation is valid for 7 days. The group's admin invites and removes people. Private messages are only between people of one group; on the free plan, only with your group's admin or with someone on Pro or Max who wrote first. You open your day yourself: to everyone in a group or to particular people, today only; you can close it at any time. Groups and private chats have no word filter: they are your own people.

Feed and live streams

What you post is seen by those it is meant for: your followers or, for a public profile, everyone. A profile is private by default. Pro and Max can post, up to 10 posts a day. Respect others: no abuse, spam, nudity or advice that endangers health. Numbers in posts are the author's own words; the app does not check them.

Texts are checked without AI: posts, comments and live stream comments with banned words or links are not published; a comment is up to 300 characters, no more than 10 a minute. Feed photos and videos are checked by a model on our server, and explicit ones are refused. A post or comment reported by three people is hidden for everyone, and its photo cannot be posted by anyone for a year; whoever had two posts hidden within 30 days cannot post for 7 days. You can block anyone, and you stop seeing each other.

League

The league is shared by everyone: tables of the world, the country and your own people by points the app counts from your diary (recording food, calories within your range, protein, movement). There are no points for weight or for fasting. You can switch it off in your profile; the careful mode does not take part.

Your content

What you send stays yours. You allow us to keep it and show it to those you addressed it to, and to process it as described in the Privacy Policy, for as long as the service needs it. Retention periods are there too.

Limits and availability

Limits keep the service working for everyone: on messages and photos a day, on posts, on AI costs per person a day. We aim for the service to be always available but do not promise uninterrupted operation.

Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for diet or health decisions made on the basis of AI estimates and advice.

Changes and contact

We will announce material changes in the app. The service is run by Oleksandr Haidamaka, Spain. Questions: support@mealbond.app.
